The world of business requires experienced professionals with advanced knowledge in various fields of effective management, while at the same time demands personal skills such as flexibility, adaptability, reflection, resolution and creativity. Professionals who knows and use a wide range of management techniques, including an awareness of not just of the most up-to-date theoretical knowledge but also of the real market and trends in the business world.

The MIB – Master of International Business is a generalist program with a particular focus on international aspects of management needed on today’s business world. The programme integrates studies in all the areas of business activity in an effort to develop the most reliable policies and strategies that successfully achieve the objectives of a company in an international environment.

The MIB is based around the four fundamental elements of a successful international business education, crucial to establish roles in today’s multinational and multicultural firms engaged in the constantly evolving world of global business:

IPAG Business School degree

Students are offered the possibility of studying a semester abroad in Paris. Founded in 1965, IPAG Business School is one of the most prestigious schools in France. It has campuses in Paris and Nice and a network of more than 90 international partners in 26 countries.

Requisitos de acceso al curso:

The main objective of the admissions process is to ensure the suitability of the candidates for the programme, by looking at their professional experience and their academic CV.
Our aim is for all participants to make the most of the experience we offer through a context in which they may develop a long-term relationship with classmates, teachers and alumni.

In order to start the admissions process, it is necessary to fill in the form so that EAE Academic Committee can consider their application. If the decision issued by the Academic Committee for the programme requested is positive, the candidate can complete his or her registration for the programme.

DOUBLE DEGREE

Students who succesfully pass the course will obtain the Master of International Business degree from EAE Business School. Besides, students who fulfill the academic requirements established will obtain the Master of International Business Management degree from Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya (if studying in Barcelona) or the Máster Universitario en Negocios Internacionales degree from Universidad Camilo José Cela (if studying in Madrid).

In order to obtain the degree from partner universities, it is necessary to fufil the requirements established by the institutions.

IPAG BUSINESS SCHOOL DEGREE

Students who study a semester in Paris and successfully complete the programme, will also obtain the IPAG Business School official degree.

MIB BASICS

Business Communication

The course focuses on internal and external communication as a shared responsibility for all members of an organisation, and the need for training internal communication skills to achieve an effective and efficient communication with superiors, subordinates and peers, individually and in group.

E-Business

The course defines the core elements to develop an e-busines strategy, including branding, competitive analysis, technology assessment, business method models and preparing for emerging trends. Course assignments will involve extensive case studies and on-line research.

Financial Management

The course provides students with a basic understanding of techniques and methods used on corporate finance management.

Global Economics

This course looks at and studies the main economic concepts, principles and theories that help to explain the structure and functioning of the modern international and global economy.

Leadership and Management Skills

The course will introduce you modern management concepts and their historical development, and also investigates the nature, purpose and function of management organisations.

MIB INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT

Corporate Internationalisation

The objective of the course is to give the participants an understanding of the nature of international business, by providing a comprehensive overview of pertinent issues, both theoretical and practical, on the topic.

Cross Cultural Management

The course provides students with the theoretical and practical tools necessary to improve their effectiveness and
productivity in international business activities.

International Business Law

In today’s business dealings, parties frequently have their principal places of business in different countries which raises various legal issues not present in a domestic transaction. There is, however, an increasing body of law, which many countries adhere to and in this course we will be focusing on this and how legal risk in international transactions may be minimized.

International Human Resource Management

The objectives of this course are to introduce students to the basics of people management in organizations, allowing them to identify the internal and external factors of human resource management that are considered to be the most influential ones.

International Marketing
The course will enable students to identify and apply the main concepts and techniques of marketing to business problems.

International Project Management

The main objective is to introduce students to the principles and practice of project management through different tools.

International Taxation

Tax treaties, transfer pricing rules in international taxation, international estate planning, European tax law and international tax policy, basic international tax planning and value added taxation are some of the topics that will be dealt with from a business perspective.

Managing Risk in International Finance

The course provides an understanding of the new risks that increasing globalization has brought to multinational enterprises and it examines these risks and the way in which they can be managed.

Media Communications Workshop

The course focuses on internal and external communication as a shared responsibility for all members of an organization and the need for training internal communication skills to achieve an effective and efficient communication with superiors, subordinates and peers, individually and in group.

Strategic Management

The overriding objective of this course is to enhance the diagnostic and problem solving abilities of individuals, confronted with a variety of strategic and/or operational business problems in a diverse set of company environments and situations.

BUSINESS PLAN

The making of a Business Plan is a key element of the MIB programme. In its development, participants should considerer the influence of various functional areas on the viability of a future business project and define the future business strategy, as well as design the implementation of business policies they consider necessary to the achievement of the short-term and long-term objectives of the corporation.
METHODOLOGY

EAE offers an interactive, highly functional learning experience for a lifetime of success. Business people who are seeking to renew their outlook will discover that EAE provides a pivotal opportunity to step back from day-to-day-business, to explore new ideas, and to experience the freedom of learning.

Assessment process

It will be evaluations of each part of the MIB programme. All the evaluations will be taken into account when considering the final grade. During the academic year, the master’s participants will carry out and present a final thesis (Business Plan). The final grade for this thesis will be based on a writing report and a group dissertation at the end of the programme.

Management conferences and talks

Throughout the master programme, a series of conferences are organised with directors and experts from companies and organisations that focus on current affairs as well as activities away from the campus such as visiting companies and talking with professionals from various sectors.
